Introduction

Detroit Brows is owned and operated by Danielle Smith. We provide brow waxing and tweezing, brow tinting, lash lifts, lash tinting, makeup, and education services. Servicing a diverse clientele, our main mission is to help women and men with holistic self care. To further that mission, we are looking for new furniture, an addition to our inventory, and more products to sell retail.

After working in the beauty industry for many years, Danielle formally registered Detroit Brows as a Limited Liability Corporation in 2018. Detroit Brows is determined to create excellent customer experiences through attention to detail and an unwavering commitment to creating unmatched customer experiences. We educate our clients on brow care while staying current on the most up-to-date trends, and we execute a superior service delivery with quality products and a well-trained team of professionals. 

 




Detroit Brows has experienced steady growth since opening in 2018. With a loyal customer base, we have increased been increasing revenue each quarter. Our goals are to become even more profitable with better equipment that make our clients and staff feel more comfortable, more up-to-date products, and more brand awareness.

The Project

Danielle will purchase equipment, such as salon chairs for the clients that will allow her to easily lower and raise comfortably them without stress on her back, as well as a stool for her to sit on. She will also buy a special lamp for adequate lighting so she can do her detailed work of brows and lashes, and a tool box station to keep her equipment locked up. In addition, she'll buy everyday essentials like wax and lash supplies to perform service, and brow and lash products for retail and aftercare for clients.

Danielle chose the equipment because of the quality it provides. She prides herself in choosing the best for her business. Clients will feel more comfortable because of the quality, look, and feel of the chairs and products. It’s important to ensure that clients feel comfortable because it increases the likelihood of them returning and referring their friends and family.

In addition to buying equipment and products, Danielle will use funds for advertising and marketing.

Implementing these improvements will increase client retention and increase brand awareness.

Projections

Revenue and profitability have improved for Detroit Brows in the last year.  For the period January - August, Detroit Brows increased revenue 20% over the prior year (2018). To further improve revenue, Detroit Brows intends to increase our operating capacity by purchasing salon equipment, chairs, and increase brand awareness through advertising.

About the Owner

Danielle, the owner of Detroit Brows.

Danielle is a native Detroiter with decades of experience in the beauty industry. She has had the honor of working behind the scenes of Oprah’s “Live the Life You Want Tour”, Kid Rock’s Children’s Charity Event, American Idol, and America’s Got Talent Ovid, and the Art of Love. She has been a Brand Ambassador for Beauty Blender, Cover Girl, L'Oréal, Make Up For Ever, NARS, and MAC Cosmetics.

After analyzing which parts of the city her clients come from, Danielle decided to open Detroit Brows in Southfield since it's centrally located for them.

Your ongoing responsibilities from investing are very limited. Each year over the life of the loan you will receive a 1099-INT, this is a simple tax document similar to what you receive for most savings accounts.

Detroit Brows pays as agreed, you will receive quarterly payments directly into your bank account. In the event of a default, you will be contacted by the Administrative Agent to manage the collections process on investors' behalf.

 


How Honeycomb is Compensated

Honeycomb charges Detroit Brows LLC. a $250 posting fee and a 8.0% loan origination fee on the total amount funded.
