Liliahna is a luxury Italian catering company based out of Baltimore, MD and serving the entire DMV area. The mission statement is simple: curating intimately personal menus, executing heartwarming dishes, and bringing you together with the most important people in your life.

In order to get some relief during COVID-19, we are looking to borrow up to $60,000. The annual interest rate includes a 3.75% interest-only period followed by a 30-month fully amortizing period repaying at 7.00% interest rate.

We cater events throughout the DC-Maryland-Virginia area.

How You'll Help During COVID-19

I am going to be using these funds primarily for COVID-19 relief. We were planning to use our sales from the first quarter of 2020 towards the initial amount we need to get our first brick-and-mortar up and running. We have a specific location already chosen, and we need to act quickly to ensure that we don't lose out on that space.

In addition to securing the space, we will also use the funds specifically to pay our employees a relief package, and use a portion to pay off debt accrued due to COVID-19.

When the shelter-in-place order is lifted, we will be able to open exactly where we want and how we want. The location of any restaurant is, most of the time, the deciding factor in the success of the business, and having found such an incredible location, we want to take advantage of it while we are able to.

About Liliahna

Liliahna was born out of a passion for food, family, and discovery. "Liliahna,” however, didn't inherit the name until a trip to Italy when a Great-Aunt Liliahna was brought into the picture. It was a moment of realization. There is a no better name for a brand dedicated to bringing people together through the best forms known to man and woman: eating & drinking.

The niche that has been carved in an otherwise mundane world involves bringing much more than our inherent culinary expertise to your next event. Being an experienced-based catering company – and prioritizing the aesthetic, design and ambiance just as much as the food – gives each client a custom, unforgettable experience.

We offer a modern take on traditional Italian cuisine.

I fell in love with the food world at a very young age thanks to my grandfather being so involved in my life for my entire childhood and teenage years. I went through high school knowing I was going to go to culinary school as soon as I could, and that is what I did. I enrolled in the Culinary Institute of America and graduated in 2015 with not only my Associates in Culinary Arts, but my Bachelor’s degree in Entrepreneurship.

Along with having a huge passion for everything culinary, I also always enjoyed being my own boss and taking those risks. Having the opportunity to combine both of those passions at one of the best schools schools in the world has been incredibly useful to my success now.

Our Thanksgiving spread.

Seeing such incredible growth over the last year has been so motivating, and we are ready to open our first brick and mortar location to bring our expertise in the culinary and design world to the public eye. We have shown success in our business model not only through our exponential increase in sales, but also through the multiple awards we have won with various companies, including Thumbtack and WeddingWire.

Having such a long family history rooted in Baltimore, combined with our expansive network of supportive clients, we are primed rise to the top of the Maryland food scene quickly.

We have a proven positive track record of clients being happy with what we have done, and there is no better combination than a culinary background and love of community. My passion for this industry does not stop in the kitchen. The entire reason I specifically got into the catering business was because I knew I was going to be able to interact with clients on a much more personal basis, and really be able to tune their menus to exactly their palette.

I love my family, I love my community, and I love using my passion for food to create opportunities to interact with strangers and invite them into my "home.” I don't look at being a chef – or food in general – as something that simply sustains life. I look at it through the eyes of forging connections between people, known or unknown. We always come together over food, and I want to create that moment and memory for as many guests as possible.

Catering allows us to get to know our clients in a more personal way.
