Hideaway Co. is a boutique mobile glamping experience. We are currently outposting at the Branch Bender Cidery in Accident MD for our first full season, Fridays-Sundays (May-Oct). The curated experiences combine luxury amenities, culinary excellence, and impeccable guest service in beautiful natural surroundings for the ultimate weekend getaway.

Weekend packages include a Friday through Sunday two-night stay; Friday Welcome Reception and dinner; Saturday breakfast, lunch, happy hour, and dinner; Sunday brunch; and complimentary Yoga & Mindfulness sessions on Saturday and Sunday mornings. A la carte amenities include full bar services, excursions to surrounding experiences and attractions, culinary add-ons, and massage therapy services.

When the COVID-19 crisis struck, what we thought would be weeks, turned to months, and now Hideaway Co. the product of survival and discovery in uncertain times. Our guests are in need to renew and unwind in a picturesque setting with a highly curated experience.

When Hideaway Co. launched in August 2020, it quickly took off and we had limited time to pull it together. However we did it, and Hideaway Co was a success. When the dust settled we regrouped to discuss what worked and what didn't. After investing my husband Pete and I invested our own money, we realized that we couldn't rely on sales alone to operate our business, especially for an entire season. To set ourselves up for success, we were going to need "seed" money to take the burden off of sales to get us up and running. Knowing that the foundation is set (ie. tents, location) we can better focus on building out the guest experience, get our message out through marketing and advertising, and offer our chef and guest chefs the proper setting to create an exceptional dining experience.

As COVID turned from weeks to months, there was so much uncertainty around the future film/tv production and obviously hospitality, two career paths have become so interwoven in my professional life. I suddenly started noticing stories in my newsfeed about glamping, certainly not a new phenomenon, but one that was associated with America's great Western National Parks. What I was noticing in particular with this new surge in glamping, was the increase in service and amenities once only available in brick and mortar hotels.

Once it became clear that COVID was reshaping how we live especially in regard to travel, dining, and overall socializing, I began to think open-air accommodations such as glamping, plus a solid food and beverage program, plus yoga and massage all available safely might be exactly what high-end travelers were looking for. It turns out I was on to something and after a successful one-month beta run in October 2020 it made sense to keep going. What makes Hideaway Co. truly stand out from the pack of new emerging glamping sites, is food and beverage service in an actual dining setting, massage service, and top-notch customer service. At Hideaway Co. guests do not need any camping experience, we take care of everything.


At Hideaway Co., the night is light and full of campfires. 


The Future

I'm so excited to see where Hideaway Co takes us. Because we are mobile, the opportunities for every season to offer a new and exciting location are really endless. I want to focus on growing and developing what we have, improving the guest experience each and every year. I don't think that glamping is a fad. COVID has changed the way people think of travel and gatherings and that's nothing going away any time soon.

The 2021 season brings us to the Branch Bender Cidery in Accident, Maryland. This location is within driving distance for short and long weekends from most major metro areas on the east coast.

About the Owner

Anna Baird loves a challenge. It's probably why she was drawn to film production and event production in the early years of her professional life. When she was fresh out of college and not unlike many of her peers, Anna also worked in both retail and hospitality. After over 25 years into her professional life, she has taken the carnival-like experience of film production, her knowledge of customer service along with her love for hospitality and has gone out on her own with Hideaway Co. Take everything Anna has learned over the years and you have the perfect recipe for an ever-evolving, quick on her feet woman in business.

Anna currently lives in Sq. Hill with her husband Pete, eight-year-old daughter, Charlotte, and their cat Isadora.

If you choose to invest, you will make a one-time investment via ACH that will be transferred to a secure escrow account. If the campaign successfully reaches its target, the funds will be distributed to Hideawayco LLC.

Your ongoing responsibilities from investing are very limited. Over the life of the loan, you will receive a yearly 1099-INT, which is a simple tax document similar to what you receive for most savings accounts.*Individual payments may vary slightly based on rounding. Potential repayments include principal and interest; they do not include the one-time fee which is assessed when you make your investment. These amounts are calculated as a hybrid interest-only + amortizing loan, which means that there is a specified interest-only period followed by an amortization period. There are no prepayment penalties and Hideawayco LLC may pay down their loan early, which may impact your earnings potential. Please note: returns are not guaranteed and investors could lose some or all of their investment.

Hideawayco LLC pays as agreed. You will receive quarterly payments directly into your bank account. In the event of a default, you will be contacted by the administrative agent to manage the collections process on the investors' behalf.


How Honeycomb is Compensated

Honeycomb charges Hideawayco LLC a $250 posting fee and a 7.0% - 8.0% loan origination fee on the total amount funded.

Additionally, to cover expenses associated with each investment, Honeycomb charges a 2.85% investment fee capped at $37.25 per investor.
