Café Rosé is a coffee and wine bar coming soon to Austintown, Ohio. It will be a one-stop-shop for purchasing local coffees and wines and will also sell specialty drinks - including the signature Café Rosé - all the while supporting the entrepreneurs, farmers, and people of the valley. Whether you are visiting us for your morning rush to work cup of coffee or a glass of wine to enjoy with good friends, we hope you will find Café Rosé a safe space to work, gather, and celebrate. It is our hope you will join us on our journey of discovering new coffees and wines from the valley, Ohio, and across the county, all the while connecting with people and supporting our hometown.

Café Rosé will operate its business on three pillars: local sourced, eco-friendly, and community-centered.

Locally Sourced: Our coffee and wine selections will first be locally sourced to provide a one-stop-shop for the best local wines and coffee that appeal to every palette. Our food selections will also be made from products purchased mostly from local farms.

Eco-Friendly: Café Rosé will strive to leave a green footprint by responsibly sourcing products, minimizing (food) waste, and using energy-efficient materials. On property, we plan to recycle, compost, and collect rainwater for the on-site garden we hope to have.

Community Centered: Café Rosé will be a safe space for the community to gather with family, friends, and neighbors. It will be a space to work, gather, and celebrate; a space for events such as yoga and craft fairs; and a space to support local businesses and organizations.

Customers will be predominantly people who live and work in the Youngstown (OH) area who enjoy drinking coffee and/or wine. We will also serve people who travel through the area; Interstate 80 intersects through Austintown. The space we wish to create will be one where people can gather to spend time with friends and family, meet to discuss business and one in which they can celebrate graduations and anniversaries. We will especially appeal to people living in Austintown (OH) because to find a space to meet, gather, or celebrate often requires traveling 20 - 30 minutes to surrounding areas. This will be a unique and convenient spot for people in our hometown, particularly with more people working from home, to not only gather, work, and celebrate but to also experience different flavors of coffee and wine.

Owners Amanda and Leah have always loved to travel and would plan stops along the way to try new flavors of coffee and wine. They targeted local coffee roasters and wineries because they understand the value of supporting local businesses. With Café Rosé, Amanda and Leah not only want to support local coffee roasters and wineries by creating a convenient one-stop-shop for coffee and wine lovers but to also bring in flavors unfamiliar to the area that local residents and workers might not otherwise have the opportunity to discover.

We are raising up to $50,000 at a 10.75% interest rate, with a six-month interest-only period and a 54-month fully-amortizing period.

The Project

The funds will be used to lease or purchase a property.

If purchasing property:
$20,000 down payment on the property
up to $30,000 to renovate space and purchase equipment (i.e. appliances, furniture)

If leasing property:
$20,000 to cover several months of lease/utilities
up to $30,000 to renovate space and purchase equipment (i.e. appliances, furniture)

Café Rosé cannot operate without a location for its business. The funds received will allow the business to not only have a space to operate but will also allow for renovations to build the vision of Café Rosé and to purchase equipment that is necessary to prepare specialty coffee drinks, etc.

Located between Pittsburgh and Cleveland, Austintown is ripe for this new concept.

At the intersection of many long road trips and a love for coffee and wine, Café Rosé was born. Owners Amanda and Leah would discuss creating a business while traveling down endless highways and winding through the backroads of Ohio. They would fuel their trips with coffee from local shops and unwind from a long day of travel with a glass of wine. Their visits to coffee shops and wineries throughout the state and country inspired the idea for Café Rosé. Today, Amanda and Leah are in the early stages of starting their business. They have received positive community feedback, particularly in their hometown of Austintown, and have even spoken to local artisans and brewers who are excited to sell their products at Café Rosé. They have viewed several properties in Austintown; however, they require capital to make an offer. Once capital is secured, they can purchase or lease Café Rosé's first home and begin operating their business.

Café Rosé was inspired by Leah and Amanda's many trips to cafés and wine bars across the country.

The future vision of Café Rosé is to expand its selection of coffee and wines to be both local and nationwide to create a truly unique and diverse collection of coffees and wines for customers to purchase. Café Rosé also hopes to have its own garden and greenhouse to grow its own produce for its menu of food, with potential for workforce development in agriculture and hospitality. The business will become a space that the community gathers and one that supports its local community. Austintown is our hometown, and we want to see our community and the people in it thrive.

We take to heart our pillars of being locally sourced, eco-friendly, and community-centered.
