Overview

I am the baker and creator of the Pizza Bagel. I have been backing the Pizza Bagel for 16 years! My customers are from all over the United States as well as children at schools. Everyone loves the Pizza Bagel. It is a Cleveland tradition: the #5 thing you eat when you come to Cleveland. I get people telling me their stories of how they got pizza bagels at the Westside Market and now live in another state and order them online.

We are raising $35,000 at an interest rate of 9.75%. There will be a six-month interest-only period and a 54-month fully-amortizing period.

The Pizza Bagel is a Cleveland classic!

The Project

A bagging packaging machine = $15,000.00
Packaging imprinted = $9000.00
Ovens = $6000.00

Anything else would go toward a truck to transport bagels to locations!

We would save time and money by having a machine bag and seal our bagels. Currently, we hand heat seal; very hard work. This would make us all happy! Second, when we can cook the bagels with more ovens, then we will also be able to produce more each day. We can be more efficient. Lastly, this one is for me. I would like a truck to put pallets of bagels in and then we would not have to hand pick our orders. This will save us from added expenses from the warehouse.

This is the bagging machine we want!

Business

History

The business started when I was looking for a part-time business that I could possibly retire with. So I bought the Pizza Bagel stand at the Westside Market. It was fun and I enjoyed it. But then customers told me the bagels were not what they had gotten years ago. (The baker I had didn't make them the way they should have been made). So then I decided it was time to be the baker and not the clerk. That is how it all started.

I became a pizza bagel baker to give the customers what they wanted!

Future

While I would like to take credit for the Pizza Bagel and its popularity, it really is the opposite. It loves to be out there and be famous. It has been on the Cooking Channel, Food Network, CNBC, Burger Bob and baked for a President. Currently, it is making smiles on children as part of their school lunches. We are building it each year with more schools. Also, we are selling our bagels online with Goldbelly. This is a national online food platform. In the past 3 months, we have entered the retail world of grocery stores. As I said, the Pizza Bagel wants to be out there making smiles and filling bellies with tasty bites. I have also patented the Pizza Bagel known as the Pizagel. "Tastes like pizza, shaped like a bagel" is the tagline. We see this next year as a year of growth. We are also looking at our next production center for the next phase of our business.

We are proud to be a part of children's school lunches!

About the Owner

Terry Thomsen

I am fondly known as The Pizza Bagel Lady. Without a recipe and after many attempts, the pizza bagel was created! Making pizza bagels with my 80 qt Hobart mixer named Helga is my specialty. I love baking and it shows in my bagels - also known as the Pizagel.

Life is good for me knowing that the Pizza Bagel makes others so happy and I bring a smile to their face.

Your ongoing responsibilities from investing are very limited. Over the life of the loan, you will receive a yearly 1099-INT, which is a simple tax document similar to what you receive for most savings accounts.*Individual payments may vary slightly based on rounding. Potential repayments include principal and interest; they do not include the one-time fee which is assessed when you make your investment. These amounts are calculated as a hybrid interest-only + amortizing loan, which means that there is a specified interest-only period followed by an amortization period. There are no prepayment penalties and Terry Thomsen LLC may pay down their loan early, which may impact your earnings potential. Please note: returns are not guaranteed and investors could lose some or all of their investment.

Terry Thomsen LLC pays as agreed. You will receive quarterly payments directly into your bank account. In the event of a default, you will be contacted by the administrative agent to manage the collections process on the investors' behalf.
