Vitiman Kandie's innovative line of natural herbs and juices offers nutrition on the go for hopeful spirits in pursuit of improving their personal health. If you are looking for a holistic approach to your wellness journey, Vitiman Kandie is your answer.

Our target customers are those who want to stay healthy, free of ailments, are interested in wellness education and want to know where their food comes from. 60% of our target consumers are active and looking for healthier alternatives, while 40% of our market is elderly looking for all-natural supplements to stay healthy. Currently, at our Glenville location, 30% of our customers are from the westside, which is why we are seeking a location that is more convenient for them. We have determined this segment through customer feedback, sales, and market research. We want to continue our services and ensure clients’ easy access to our products during their wellness journey.

Vitiman Kandie combines three different elements to promote holistic wellness: nourishment, energy, and transformation. We provide nutritious food options, herbs, and fitness plans that help our clients throughout their journey. Our motto is: feed your body + mind with the goodness of Vitiman Kandie and feel informed, nurtured, and hopeful!

Thanks to our products, our customers have reported they feel better, have lost weight, and have completely changed their mindsets about living a healthier lifestyle. After years of delivering this value to our clients through personal fitness sessions and wellness advice, we wanted a more direct platform to interact with our consumers. This is how Vitiman Kandie Café (VKC) was started. VKC offers juices, herbs, and healthy meals at an affordable price so everybody can enjoy them. At the Café, we provide transparency by creating delicious recipes using simple, quality, and local ingredients. Our staff is versed on where the ingredients and herbs are sourced from and what benefits they offer to the consumer.

We are raising $50,000 at a 10.75% interest rate, paid over a 60-month term!

Our goal is to provide a positive transformation to the hopeful spirit seeking a lifestyle change.

The Project

The funds raised with Honeycomb will jump-start the hiring process, cushion for inventory and marketing expenses, and rent/utilities for our second West Side location. Our funding strategy for subsequent rounds is to market our products on and offline at an affordable price to our consumer market, which in turn will allow VK to gain capital, pay off debts, and create more revenue to grow the company.

  • Payroll: $24,000
  • Inventory: $11,000
  • Leasing & equipment: $15,000

We believe the tools to live a healthier life should be accessible to everyone.

2015: In March, Vitiman Kandie started offering cold-pressed juices and meal prep services to personal training clients.

2020: We opened our first cafe in Richmond Heights and our second location in Glenvillage in January of 2020. We wanted to reach the food desert communities that were lacking education on healthier options and to offer more services to our current target market.

Due to the COVID pandemic and development projects at Richmond Town Square Mall we had to close our Richmond location, and have recently celebrated a year at the Glenvillage location. By popular demand, it’s always been our goal to open a Westside location to meet our customers closer to where they live. In 2020 we launched 4 new product lines.

Vitiman Kandie owner Mary Johnson is a published author!

The Future

2021: We added three new product lines, will release a second book with meal plans and healthy cooking recipes, and launch our wholesale production.

2022: We will release our vegan wine and establish 1 wholesale account.

2023: We plan to establish 10 wholesale accounts.

We believe a plant-based lifestyle can achieve mental and physical wellbeing for all!

About the Owner

Vitiman Kandie is the dream, concept, and creation of Mary Johnson. Back in 2009, after taking control of her health and losing 120 pounds, Mary sought a natural alternative to restore her body’s natural flow, without the side effects of medications. Seeing and feeling the results of cold-pressed juice blends, made from fruits, vegetables, and all-natural herbs, Mary knew that she had found a way for food to be medicine. Mary created Vitiman Kandie in 2015, opened VK fitness studio in 2016, became a first-time author in 2019, and opened two Vitiman Kandie Cafes in 2020. As a certified personal trainer, health coach, urban farmer, and motivational speaker, Mary is dedicated to providing the tools, education, and resources to live a healthier, happier life.

Vitiman Kandie, LLC pays as agreed. You will receive quarterly payments directly into your bank account. In the event of a default, you will be contacted by the administrative agent to manage the collections process on the investors' behalf. Your ongoing responsibilities from investing are very limited. Over the life of the loan, you will receive a yearly 1099-INT, which is a simple tax document similar to what you receive for most savings accounts.*Individual payments may vary slightly based on rounding. Potential repayments include principal and interest; they do not include the one-time fee which is assessed when you make your investment. These amounts are calculated as a hybrid interest-only + amortizing loan, which means that there is a specified interest-only period followed by an amortization period. There are no prepayment penalties and Vitiman Kandie, LLC may pay down their loan early, which may impact your earnings potential. Please note: returns are not guaranteed and investors could lose some or all of their investment.

Q & A

+ Great looking plan Mary! Do you currently have any wholesale accounts? If not, what is holding you back?

Hello Charles! I actually just signed a contract with Organic Plus Brands to produce my product lines in mass production. Currently I was only able to raise enough money to start testing. Receiving investments from investors such as yourself will help Vitiman Kandie go to the next level of production and began marketing to big name retail chains in hopes to gain contracts as well. I am always open to any leads. Thank you so much for your interest in my company.

+ One question I always have when I see a loan being used for payroll is sustainability. Is the Glenville location generating enough income to cover the payroll for the new location if the new location performs similarly? (If you see what I mean?)

Hello Peter! To answer your question, current revenue from the Glenville location will help cover future payroll at the new location. Currently I am the primary employee at Glenville but I do have temporary employees through non-profit agencies and Y.O.U. when they have young adults available for work which allows me to invest in my business savings to cover expense. Investing in my company will allow me to increase full time and part time employees. Thank you for your interest!
